Portraiture & Weddings
Studio portraits and weddings were the main line of work for Stonecot Studios owner and photographer Colin Smith from 1993 right up until 2016 when the shop/studio at Stonecot Hill was sold. We continue to offer portrait photography, working on location either outdoors or with a small mobile studio set up. These portraits tend now to be for headshots required for online social media profiles or websites, or an individual school photograph where a little more time doing the hair and working on expressions can make all the difference and all in the comfort of your own home.
Every year we continue to attend First Holy Communions and Confirmations at local churches and take photographs of all the candidates and their families using our mobile studio set up to provide them with the opportunity to have professional photographs of the special day. Every two years, we take photographs at a kids dance school, again providing studio-style photographs of all the children for parents to have a lovely record of this precious time in their child’s life. Commercial Photography
Stonecot Studios have been providing commercial photography since it was established in 1982. The way photographs are produced and what they are used for has changed enormously since those early days and we have moved with the times. With the explosion of online digital media and social networking as a means of marketing photography is more important now than it ever was. We can give you images that stand out. Yes, smart phones are amazing and can take excellent photographs these days but sometimes only a professional image will do. We can take better photographs of your premises drawing on our experience as property photographers and using better equipment, we can take professional corporate portraits of you and your staff that in turn gives your company a more professional image and we can photograph your products in the best possible light and setting bringing a mobile studio to you if necessary.
Passport/ID Photos
Looking for a professional looking, compliant passport or ID photograph? With our mobile studio and mini passport printer, we can come to your home and treat you to a much nicer photo that you don’t mind showing off for the next 10 years. You don’t have to stand in a shop with everyone watching or sit in one of those frustrating photobooths trying to get the thing to work properly, you don’t even need to leave your home. Plus if in the unlikely event that the photo does get rejected – we’ll do it again free of charge or refund your money.
